Forum: oldies radio

There are plenty of oldies rock and easy listening stations, but what about a oldies country station. Or at least one that is a even mix of old and new. Yea, I can listen to my cassets and cd's, but they tend to be too much of the same artist at one time, or having to change tape or cd to get a change of artist. Listening to country oldies on a radio station I could still get the news and traffic updates and one would hope up beat fun DJ's

The problem with the Classic

The problem with the Classic Country format is that up until recently, people, outside of the south, tended to start listening to Country music, at about age 35. Therefore, a country song from even 1980 would have appeal mostly to people over 65. There are certainly exceptions for Country/Pop crossovers but there aren't enough of them to make up a format.

Available Online, via Citadel Communications

FarFrumNormal, when you're at an Internet connection - "Country Legends 107.5" from Salt Lake City, Utah will fit your bill. They had the highest TSL of any online country formatted station recently.

For non-radio geeks

TSL is "time spent listening," which is pretty much what it sounds like: how long the average person stays tuned in during a single listening occasion.
