VIENNA — A new store has arrived at Grand Central Mall in Vienna with the goal of showcasing local businesses and merchants and directly benefiting the economy in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
Colorful clothing, home decorations, bath products and more line the walls and the displays of the Cardinal Market, which is located across from Dunham’s in the former 7,000 square foot Dressbarn storefront space.
The Cardinal Market opened officially for business on Oct. 1, and the hours are Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., according to a press release from Grand Central Mall.
“Our guests at Grand Central Mall will be excited with the variety of merchandise represented at Cardinal Market,” said Jody Hopkins, General Manager of Grand Central Mall, in the press release. “These local artisans will offer unique gift items that represent the regional flavor of the Mid-Ohio Valley along with the craftsmanship that goes into each detail.”
Victoria West, the owner of The Gift Gallery in Vienna and Balloons on Grand Central, is also the coordinator and owner of the Cardinal Market.
“This market is a beautiful collaboration of local artisans, established retailers and nonprofits all working together to hold each other up during a time when we need it most,” West said in the press release. “That’s what the Cardinal Market is made of: positivity and small business working together.”
