A growing tech company with offices in Sioux Falls is dropping its fees for farmers who want to use its services.
Farmers Business Network provides data and marketplace services to about 14,000 current members who farm a combined 45 million acres across the United States, Canada and Australia.
Previously, FBN charged an annual fee of $700, with discounts for farmers who committed to a two-year or five-year plan.

“From the trade war, to unpredictable weather conditions, to the COVID-19 pandemic, these are challenging times for farmers,” co-founder and CEO Amol Deshpande said in a statement. “We view this as an investment in our customers. By providing free membership now, all farmers will have access to a select range of products and services that are focused specifically on supporting their independent businesses, both in good times and in bad.”
Current members will get a prorated amount credited to their account, which can be used on FBN’s online store or go toward a higher level of membership.
