NORWALK — The Norwalk Chamber of Commerce is holding a small business development academy.
This free program will teach participants how to start and maintain a small business, according to a news release from the Chamber.
Sessions will be held via Zoom and begin Oct. 28. and held every subsequent Tuesday, except for the week of Thanksgiving when class will be held on a Tuesday.
The series will kick off with a talk from Michele Stuart, owner of Michele’s Pies which opened in Norwalk in 2007 and has won 33 first place awards in the National Pie Championships.
Other program topics include navigating the legal aspects of starting a business, coming up with a business plan, understanding taxes and bookkeeping and mastering marketing.
