TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The West Central Indiana Business Hub is looking to gauge the impact the pandemic continues to have on businesses while providing those businesses with resources to be successful.
The Hub was created in April to help assess COVID-19’s impact on business in the region. Businesses can take an assessment that will help the Hub team collect data on what the greatest needs of the business community.
“We had a group of resource providers who regularly work with businesses and we kind of got together. And so we kind of put our efforts together so that we could better serve business and more quickly meet their needs,” stated President of Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, Kristin King. “What are some positives and what are some negative impacts they’ve seen over the last few months and just assess all of that information?”
This assessment is available to any for-profit or non-profit business in the six-county west central Indiana region. The assessment geared towards small businesses but any business with less than 500 employees is welcome to take the assessment.
“I think we’re going to see a different set of data that’s a little bit more less based on fear and more based on the reality of what’s happening around them now. Any business in the west central Indiana area is able to take this assessment,” explained King. “We want to hear from everybody. Not just those businesses in Terre Haute, Vigo County but beyond. All throughout the region.”
